12/21/20 - the audience

3D printing tests. There’s merit to drinking tea. How to think about the audience?

another substance

A new material was used for a 3D printing project: Ninjaflex, by Ninjatek. This material is flexible and will be perfect for crafting “cartilage” between joints on moving parts. Further, this material can be printed to form, such as fitting the inside of a wearable item. More applications to come in AMPEL.

considering the audience

An aspect of my media is that I choose my topics based on what I’m interested in rather than choosing topics based on what I think might reach an audience in particular. It might be time to start considering what my audience wants to hear more of. This should begin a study of the art of outsourcing creative direction by employing social media. I should like to be involved with my audience as much as possible while maintaining a bit of sanity away from answering messages and gaining feedback. Surely there is a happy medium.

pre-nostalgia

I’m still learning how to be an artist. This is a never-ending journey and one which can hardly be traced except for following my life. I believe that a significant milestone is approaching. Though I doubt that this project could ever truly be finished, there will come a time when I must finish my work on it. The experience is saddening but I cherish each session left which this project needs. I can’t wait to bring it to you in a show.

progress

I recently had an anxiety attack while in the checkout line at the grocery store. In an attempt to calm it, I picked up and read one of the magazines in those little racks. I happened on an edition of The New York Times magazine which was thought-provoking, so naturally I bought it to read more thoroughly. Lately I’ve found strategies like reading are helpful.
