Q3 Recap

This blog post will review updates/changes to the entities under management during quarter 3 of 2021. For each I will first provide a brief description of the organization, summary of current projects, and an update of changes in Q3.

AMPEL

The organization based around 3D printing operations saw tremendous growth in Q3. The Additive Manufacturing Prototyping and Experimentation Laboratory provides structure for operations which span across areas involving 3D scanning, digital reconstruction, CAD and CAM, network management, IoT design and application, and of course 3D printing.

Current projects include dental and orthodontic fabrication, firearm design and fabrication, tabletop game figurine fabrication, and wearable device design and fabrication. Research projects are based around gathering data in the writing of DfAM: Design for Additive Manufacturing.

During Q3 the company sold two upgraded machines and supporting material. The company acquired two new machines, each sporting a larger build volume than either of the previous machines. One new machine features Independent Dual Extruder (IDEX) technology, permitting operations to expand into multi-material fabrication. This has been a noteworthy improvement. Also in Q3, Grant explored office spaces to prepare for expansion into a physical workplace. The budget does not yet allow for this workspace but we shall keep hunting for this.

Grant Coultrup Productions

GC Productions is the organization based around media production and development of the “Granté” brand. The organization primarily provides content on Youtube or Instagram and covers all forms of media production and production partnerships.

Current projects include comedy skits, an audiobook series, video logs, and a series of tabletop game campaigns.

During Q3 the organization completed two audiobooks, published eight video logs, and regained control of three partner social media brands. In Q4 we will ramp up content production to fill partner brands with content.

Capstone Coaching Media

This project is a part of my graduating class with Purdue. As a team project we have selected to study podcast production, identify factors of attraction, and coach creators to build their audience.

Grant’s role is as host/on-air talent and head of marketing. As such he will be responsible for recruiting co-hosts and guests, constructing content and brand assets, and organizing audience evaluations.

UCI Rowing

Grant is back in the game coaching a rowing team, this time for the University of California in Irvine. This team is comprised of fine young people who are excellent athletes and scholars, and who are growing into an excellent team.

UCI rowing is not an entity under management but is mentioned here as a significant part of Grant’s time and consideration.

Coultrup Designs

This parent entity is the top of the food chain, owning the majority share of other organizations. Coultrup Designs also facilitates the sale of Grant’s artwork and professional services.

Conclusions

Grant has less time for writing interesting articles for this blog but will continue to provide updates as he can. For interesting articles, see the list below:
