Entry 12/12/20
Grant’s Log: the holiday season is busy and exciting. Assembling the team on occasion has proven productive and strategic in terms of spirit and network building. An interesting episode of a favorite TV show.
Notebooks
I was able to recover some notebooks from 2018-2019. These contain my day-to-day notes and early sketches. My skill as an artist has grown, but I should still try working in other media. I consider this set of notebooks to be some of my earliest, and they documented a time when I began to wake up. I still believe that this process is ongoing, though deeper perception accelerates the process in a self-fulfilling cycle upward.
Most of the information is gibberish or checklists or grocery lists. Some of the information is relevant to old projects. Some of the information is relevant to current projects. This is transcribed into current notebook.
Drama
The human species faces a critical moment in its history. Standing on the edge of a technology hyper-convergence, we have already crossed many paths and accelerated towards an infinite lifestyle. Being born at this time is incredible and presents incredible opportunities, some unfathomable. Staying up to date on technologies which refine data, restructure material, and expedite transportation will bring great involvement in development through the 21st century as well as wealth through knowledge of their building.
An interesting trend
The Mandalorian, a show on Disney+, is a political tool. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering that it’s made by Disney. This episode put into use the Framing Trigger described by Parr in Captivology. Determining how to apply this skill through each project should help them along. I can use the checklist of questions to determine to what degree this is applied.
